“God sets the lonely in families” - Promise 68:6
On Orphan Sunday, Christians stand for the orphan. We are a people called to defend the fatherless…to care for the child who has no family…to visit orphans in their distress. Join churches across the nation and across the world as we consider God’s call to care for the orphan and what we can do in response.
Talk with your pastor about taking a minute to pray during the service on Sunday, October 11th.
Support programs serving orphaned and vulnerable children in your community, such as CFLM’s My Name Matters Program by collecting a love offering or donating to purchase items given to children in foster care, Both Hands Project by joining or sponsoring a volunteer team that will spend Saturday April 27, 2019 serving a local widow with tangible projects while raising funds to support families in the process of adoption, or Clothes Closet for Foster Families by donating or volunteering.
If your church has an Advocate leading a foster care and adoption ministry, work with them to engage volunteers to find a role they can play in caring for orphaned and vulnerable children.
