Bryan is a founding member and Chairman of the Board of Chosen for Life Ministries. He and his wife, Lisa, have been married for 34 years and have five children and six grandchildren. Two of their children were adopted from China. Bryan is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he earned a Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral Degree. He is currently the Vice President of Quality and Food Safety for Wayne Farms, LLC in Oakwood, GA. The Miller family are members of Redeemer Presbyterian Church.

Vice Chairwoman
Lisa is a founding member and Vice Chairwoman of Chosen for Life Ministries. She is married to her high school boyfriend and forever best friend, Bryan. They have been married for 34 years and have five children (Kelli, Sarah, Andy, Grace and Micah) and six grandchildren. Grace and Micah were adopted from China. Lisa graduated from UGA with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She worked for several years as a teacher with Oconee County Schools, but her favorite profession is being a stay at home mom. The Miller family are members of Redeemer Presbyterian Church.

Eddie is employed with Turner and Patat PC. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia. Eddie is the Treasurer for Chosen for Life Ministries and an active member of Briarwood Baptist Church.

Jenny Brown
JENNY BROWN
Jenny Brown and her husband, Caleb, are foster parents and became involved with Chosen for Life Ministries through the Foster Care Initiative. The Brown family is grateful to have the support of a CFLM Care Community Team. Professionally, Jenny is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Special Education at the University of Georgia. Her research and teaching focuses on child language intervention, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and family and teacher collaboration for children with and at-risk for disabilities. Before earning her PhD from Florida State University, she provided communication intervention services to young children and their families as a certified speech-language pathologist. The Browns are members of Redeemer Presbyterian Church.

CHRISTIE COOK
Christie is one the co-founders of Chosen for Life Ministries. She and her husband, Garret, have four children: Daniel, Nicholas, Emily and Lucy, who was adopted from China. Christie says that adoption has been such a wonderful blessing to her family. Because of her own experience, God has given Christie a desire to share the message of adoption with others. Christie is a teacher at Faith Mother’s Morning Out and the Cook family are members of Faith Presbyterian Church.

JORDAN DOWNS
Jordan Downs is a Regional Vice President of Operations at Central Garden and Pet where he has worked since 2002. Jordan is married and they have one biological daughter. The Downs’ are an approved foster home through Uniting Hope for Children, nd are currently the foster to adopt placement for two beautiful siblings. The Downs’ are active members at Briarwood Baptist Church in Watkinsville, GA.

DOUG MCFARLAND
Doug is an Engineer with Boise Cascade. He and his wife, Samantha, have 3 children: Mac, Maggie, and Ben. Ben was adopted from China in 2014. Doug and Samantha became involved with Chosen for Life Ministries through the adoption conferences and the Both Hands projects. They are active members of Watkinsville First Baptist Church.

Danny Stevens
DANNY STEVENS
Danny currently serves as the Coordinator for the Family Dependency Treatment Court program for Athens-Clarke County Juvenile Court. He also serves as part-time faculty with the College of Family and Consumer Sciences with the University of Georgia. He is retired from the State of Georgia, Division of Family and Children Services State Permanency Unit as a Program Manager and Regional Adoption Coordinator. He has an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Georgia Southern University and a graduate degree in Child and Family Development from The University of Georgia with research on Adoption, Infertility and Marital Satisfaction. He has been married to his wife, Robin, for 29 years and they have two daughters, Tori and Jordan. He is an active member of Tuckston United Methodist Church.

Juli Wisotsky
JULI WISOTSKY
Juli Wilkes Wisotsky is a native of Jefferson, and has practiced law locally since 1996. A graduate of UGA, she began focusing her practice on adoption in 2010. Since then, Juli has handled over 100 adoptions, from domesticating international adoptions to private interstate adoptions, and is a Fellow of the Georgia Council of Adoption Lawyers. She is particularly interested in the plight of foster children in Georgia and loves to complete foster care adoptions. Volunteering with Chosen for Life has been a blessing and an honor, and Juli enjoys speaking at CFLM events. Juli has four children, one foster child and a supportive husband. Her home church is Promised Land Messianic Fellowship.

Nemili Johnson
NEMILI JOHNSON
Advisory Board Member
Nemili was a founding member and the first Chairman of the Chosen for Life Ministries Board. Although she has moved to another state, she remains an adviser and an integral part of the ministry. Nemili was adopted at 18 months from southern India and grew up in southwestern Wyoming with her parents and older brother. She attended The Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, obtaining a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. She also pursued her masters degree at Northwestern University obtaining a Masters in Medical Informatics. She and her husband have one son and are perusing adoption in Honduras. Nemili is currently the Breakout Session Coordinator and a speaker for Together for Adoption.
