Both Hands Project (04.27.19)

Would your small group, business, or organization like to spend a day serving together? Even more, would you like to join others from our community as we come together to serve local widows while also making a way for orphans to be welcomed into families? Then be a part of our 2019 Both Hands Project!

Our Both Hands Project will take place on Saturday, April 27th, 2019. This annual fundraiser provides volunteers with the opportunity to live out our calling in James 1:27 to serve both widows and orphans. Similar to a 5k walk or run, you and a team of volunteers will work to fundraise for your service day! Chosen for Life will provide you with letters as well as ideas for online and other forms of fundraising. You will invite your network to donate in support of your work to care for the needs of widows. 100% of funds raised go directly to our Adoption Assistance Grant which helps to reduce the financial barriers of adoption, helping welcome more orphans into their forever families!

Volunteers from past projects have said the following about this opportunity:

“I served because I love the heart behind this project and what our efforts mean to widows and orphans. It's what Jesus has called us to and it made my heart happy to serve in such a way.”

“I loved getting to be shoulder-to-shoulder with so many people working toward the same goal; it opened an opportunity for a lot of bonding between volunteers and made for a sweet day of service.”

“One of my favorite parts of this project was seeing people from all over our community spend their day in service toward the marginalized. I also got to work with a grant recipient, so that was cool to talk with them and hear about their lives and how this project has impacted their own adoption journey!”
