Bethany Christian Services is a global nonprofit that brings families together and keeps them together through their adoption, foster care, and pregnancy counseling services. They are located in 36 states and many countries around the world, where they equip families to be what children need as Christ intended them to be.

clarke county division of family and children services

The Clarke Co. Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) investigates reports of child abuse, finds foster and adoptive homes for children who have been abused or neglected, helps low-income families by issuing SNAP, Medicaid, and TANF, and provides many other support services to assist families in need in Clarke County.

Children First

Children First, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization based in Athens, Ga. dedicated to promoting safe homes for children in times of family crisis. Children First administers four programs: Athens-Oconee CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), Family Time Community Visitation, SPARC (Supportive Parenting and Access Resource Center), and Safe Care.

Court appointed special advocates for children

The Athens-Oconee Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA) exists to serve the hundreds of children in foster care in Clarke and Oconee Counties. Through CASA, trained volunteers advocate for the children in the court system, the social service systems, and community services to ensure that each child maintains their rights to an appropriate placement and transition to a permanent home.

Home in 5

Home in 5 is a public-private partnership to increase foster care

Nightlight Christian Adoptions

Nightlight Christian Adoptions is a Christian adoption and foster care agency whose mission is to secure permanency for children in need of a safe and loving home. Nightlight provides pregnancy counseling, international adoption, domestic adoption, embryo adoption, and home study/post-adoption services. Nightlight assists families throughout the country with licensed offices in nine states.

Uniting hope 4 children

Uniting Hope 4 Children is a faith based non-profit organization based in Georgia that works to recruit, train, and encourage foster families and care for abused and neglected children by placing them in loving homes. They support families through the entire process of foster care, whether it is reunification with biological families or placing children in adoptive families.
