CFLM at CAFO!
At the beginning of this month, Chosen for Life staff had the joy of attending the Christian Alliance for Orphan Summit. The Christian Alliance for Orphans Summit inspires and equips Christians to care for orphans with wisdom-guided love. At the conference, our staff were able to learn more about adoption, general orphan care, foster care ministries, and how to better support and equip people to find their role in caring for these children and families.

Our staff and fellow board members had an amazing few days at the CAFO Summit. This was a great time for our team to grow together in our knowledge of resources as we strive to offer them to our community!
We loved having the opportunity to connect with one of our Adoption Assistance Grant Recipients! It's amazing to meet those that we already consider part of our family, and to be together learning how to enter into the lives of the children we are helping welcome into families.
This quote represents the heart behind our Foster Care Initiative - equipping the church to respond to the need of our community. We heard from Bishop Aaron Blake and how his church in Texas saw this vision fulfilled. We are hopeful and excited to continue working to witness the same movement in our community!
Lysa Terkeurst of Proverbs 31 Ministries gave us a beautiful reminder of the hope in Genesis 2:7 - that our Lord loves to work in and through the dust (and that includes dust from the seemingly shattered pieces of our lives) to reveal His Beauty and make Himself known!
By sharing his own story of adoption and his ultimate salvation through Christ, Sandeep helped us all be encouraged to continue fighting for our children!
We loved hearing the wisdom of Dr. Curt Thompson who offered insight into how our vulnerability is tied to our ability to connect with others.
